Eastgate Big Band feature top young professional musicians from the city of Leeds with a programme paying tribute to the king of pop, re-imagining some of the most well known tunes from the powerhouse albums that define the modern pop genre, “Off the Wall” and “Thriller”, as well as hits from the likes of MJ kingpin Quincy Jones and big band pioneers Buddy Rich and Woody Herman. The show promises to please fans of big bands, pop music and die hard MJ fans alike.

Following that there is the first date on the debut tour by one of the UK’s most dynamic young talents, sax player Camilla George (from Jazz Jamaica), a fine sax player, she has a wonderful distinctive tone and a relaxed, swinging approach with her brilliant ensemble featuring Sarah Tandy (piano), Daniel Casimir (bass) and Femi Koleoso (drums).
