Led by double bassist Tom Riviere, Family Band is a chordless quartet dedicated to a love of improvisation and loose structures. Influenced by the music of Ornette Coleman, Paul Motian and John Coltrane among others, the band are not afraid to stretch themselves and take risks. This is music created to make you feel. The band will play material from their debut album which has received airplay from BBC Radio 3 as well as brand new material.
