Learn jazz @the Globe

The Jazz-Co op in Newcastle's evening courses start again in September week commencing 21 September at the Globe in Newcastle. Places are limited so book now!

There are four courses on offer:
• Play More Jazz! (for all instruments - intermediate level)
• Horns Together (for saxes, trumpets, trombones - intermediate level)
• Advanced Jazz Guitar (for experienced guitarists)
• Stronger Jazz Voices (for experienced vocalists)

Play More Jazz!
Monday, 7-9pm. 10 weekly sessions starting 21 September. Tutor Stu Finden.
This course complements our successful monthly Play Jazz! workshops held at Sage Gateshead. It is particularly suitable for musicians wanting to step up from jazz beginner to jazz improver.
The standard course fee is £140, and there is a discounted rate of £125 for Jazz.Coop members.

Horns Together  
Tuesday, 7.30-9.30pm. 10 weekly sessions starting 22 September. Tutor Gary Turner.
Designed for horn players (saxophone, trumpet, trombone) of intermediate standard wanting to improve both their soloing and ensemble playing.
The standard course fee is £140, and there is a discounted rate of £125 for Jazz.Coop members.

Advanced Jazz Guitar
Tuesday, 5.15-7.15pm. 5 fortnightly sessions starting 29 September. Tutor James Birkett.
Participants will be expected to attend all five sessions and to undertake follow-up work between each session (hence the fortnightly schedule).
The standard course fee is £75, and there is a discounted rate of £65 for Jazz.Coop members.

Stronger Jazz Voices
Tuesday, 5.15-7.15pm. 5 fortnightly sessions starting 22 September. Tutor Zoe Gilby + Alan Law on piano.This is a course for experienced singers wishing to explore the jazz idiom further and develop their performance skills. The standard course fee is £125, and there is a discounted rate of £112.50 for Jazz.Coop members.
