Exciting times for us with our first big JazzLeeds festival in July, but before then, still lots to enjoy from our regular programme. It's four weeks that features some talented jazz singers, a special all afternoon "Jazz on A Summers Day" at the Chapel Allerton Club, and a visit from popular US guitarist BD Lenz
Mared Williams - June Inkwell Divas - Saturday 2 June 1.30-3pm in the cafe at Inkwell featuring this young Welsh vocalist who has been with us at Seven Arts with the Eastgate and LUU Big Bands and really impressed - she's appearing for the first time at the Inkwell cafe in the Inkwell Divas series with her own trio. Nicki’s ability to interpret Jazz Classics effortlessly and stylishly has made her a well-respected Jazz singer over recent years. Andy Cholerton is a fantastic solo pianist and accompanist to many world class performers.

B.D Lenz guitar, James Rosocha- bass, Joe Falcey – drums.
Mix together the styles of Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, and Stevie Ray Vaughan and you have the recipe for contempo-jazz guitarist B.D. Lenz. This New York native has played guitar since his early teens, is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, and has studied with such masters as Mike Stern, Vic Juris, and Charlie Banacos. BD is making what is a regular visit to us now from the States. He's a pretty cool guy!
