Nicola Farnon Si Beddoe
June 17 Nicola Farnon Trio
The Trio’s last appearance at Scarborough Jazz was a triumph, as they played with high energy, irresistible swing and passion. A fine singer and a swinging bass player, Nicola has an outgoing personality that makes her a remarkable stage performer. With her is Piero Tucci, an accomplished pianist, who doubles on saxophone, and in-demand drummer Phil Johnson. Nicola sings her favourite jazz and Latin standards. Humphrey Lyttelton said: "She is a class act who should be on every jazz festival in the land - a sure fire hit!" £7 (£6 in advance)
June 24 Jon Taylor & Ian Royle
Another duo and this is their first performance together Jon is an experienced freelance, improvising saxophonist covering various styles such as Jazz, Blues, Latin. Ian has played for the BBC with the Northern Radio Orchestra. His trumpet styles range from Miles Davis to Humphrey Lyttelton. £5
July 1 Russ Henderson
Sax player Russ is probably one of the best exports from Scotland since fine single malt - and just as classy. Expect thoughtful and powerful renditions of standards when accompanied by the MG3 with Tom Townsend as the new resident drummer. £4
