The ever innovative Jazz Co op in Newcastle now have the last Sunday of the month as Vintage Jazz night at the Globe.
This Sunday, 28 June, they welcome back the Vieux Carré Jazzmen, one of the finest Trad Jazz bands in the North and certainly the longest lasting – the band is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The sextet plays popular songs, rags, blues and marches from the 1920s and 1930s.
Vintage Jazz bands lined up over the coming months include the Mississippi Dreamboats, House of the Black Gardenias and the Levee Ramblers.
Doors open at 7pm and it’s £5 admission.
