Hard bopping at Hornby...

Sam Ashton writes

"Dean Masser (tenor sax) and Neil Yates (trumpet) decided to STOP worrying about the state of the world in general and play JAZZ"

So, that`s the philosophy underpinning the Jazz Worriers. This hard bopping  band also includes: Andrzej Baranek, piano; Ed Harrison, double bass; and Marek Dorcik on drums. I`ve seen them, and to say they`re a knock out is to understate the case; each musician a whirlwind of energetic improvisation.

Saturday 7th March at the Institute, Main Street, (A683) Hornby, Lancs, LA2 8JR.  Doors and bar open at 7.30,, music from 8 p.m.

Tickets £10, available on the door, or ring 015242 22227. (With thanks to Northern Jazz, sponsors of The Jazz Worriers)

I hope you can come, you will not be disappointed; for my part it`s all part of my extended birthday celebrations.

 Sam.

P.S. Remember the two pubs for a pre-gig bite: the Castle Inn, and the Royal Oak, both on Main Street
