Wakefield Jazz in May

Wakefield Jazz has a sparkling array of five Friday gigs in May from the intimate duo of Tommy Smith and Brian Kellock to the Quintets of Clark Tracey and Gabrielle Ducomble.

2nd May sees Frank Harrison separated from Gilad Atzmon and playing his own arrangements / compositions in trio with Dave Whitford and Enzo Zirilli

9th May brings the cream of Scottish jazz with Tommy Smith and Brian Kellock.  Sophisticated fireworks will be sparked.

16th May has the renowned vibist Roger Beaujolais with Robin Aspland, Winston Clifford and Simon Thorpe.

23rd May sees Clark Tracey and his latest crop of newcomers in an Art Blakey-like quintet.

30th May is Wakefield's only musical contribution to the Grand Départ. Singer Gabrielle Ducomble's Notes from Paris, authentic Gallic jazz with a suitably French accent to preface the Tour de France in Yorkshire.
