Paul Kirby -piano (Seoul)
Martin Zenker -bass (Hamburg)
Mark Taylor -drums (New York)
International line-up featuring strong melodic compositions from Damon, Martin, Michael and Paul and some lesser known songs from the standard repetoire. Very much a classic 1950 sound but with modern references, echoes of Mulligan and Baker and also Donald Byrd and Pepper Adams.

An open mic session hosted by the Hulljazz House Band. Any jazz performers are welcome: groups or individuals - play with the House Band or go it alone.

Wednesday 5 March Hull University Big band
Door: £5
22-piece Big Band of some of Hull Uni's best players. They play a wide range of music including swing standards, blues, motown, soul and contemporary material. They are regularly welcomed at gigs in the area and further afield. This year's stint at the Edinburgh Fringe will be their 8th in a row.

A 9-piece soul outfit from the University of Hull led by Tom Wardman on Keys and featuring "...the phenomenal singing voice of Louie McDonald..." Their repertoire includes soul classics from Aretha Franklin, Sam and Dave, Labelle, Beverley Knight, Joss Stone and other legends of the genre.
