Festivals Galore!

It's been an exceptional July and August for Northern Jazz Festivals - we've had the Jazz Leeds Festival, the Burton Agnes Festival and Hull Jazz Festival in July, the Ambleside Days festival, Ilkley Jazz Festival, Newcastle Jazz Festival, Ushaw Jazz Festival and Village Jazz Festival in Chapel Allerton during August too. The festivals don't stop there - here are a few more to look forward to in September and October in the north

With Jeremy Sassoon’s ‘Ray Charles’ Project; Jim Mullen’s nine-piece ‘Volunteers’ with arrangements by flautist Gareth Lockrane; and Alan Barnes + 11, Jasmine Sam Rapley’s ‘Fabled’ Bonsai Clark Tracey Freddie Gavita Quartet, Tony Kofi and the Organisation, Alec Dankworth’s ‘Spanish Accents’, Andrea Vicari’s New Jazz Extempore, Partisans,  solo performances from pianist Dave Newton and vocalist and pianist Liane Carroll , and the 18-piece band led by the superb vocalist Kate Peters
