The Empty Shop in Durham hosts a broad range of Jazz gigs at our venue in the city, some programmed by us and some in collaboration with others contributing to the growing Jazz scene. Now in it's 3rd year, Empty Shop HQ plays host some of the most prolific and accomplished Jazz bands in the North east. We've also got a new venue - TESTT Space is a new visual arts space on North Road. We encourage anyone with an ear for discovery to come along.

The jazz quartet Gabriele mit drei has a wide repertoire of jazz standards, German film classics, gospels and original compositions. BRASS Festival - Cutting Edge Brass with The Family Band

The 1960s avant-garde and free jazz inspired Family Band led by Leeds bassist Tom Riviere brings its powerful and dynamic music combining jazz, brass and blues into simple, repeated riffs. TESTT Space is a new visual arts space on North Road. Located on the second floor above Durham Bus Station, the gallery space will host this one off jazz gig for BRASS.
