Ingrid Jensen "Orpheus" tour a dazzling success

NorvolJazz the northern jazz club network should be really proud of how it's first international tour with Ingrid Jensen is going. The tour has had sell out gigs and rave reviews all the way from from Jazz North East in Newcastle, Heart in Leeds and Ingrid's appearance with the Leeds Jazz Orchestra at Seven Jazz Leeds. Her trumpet playing has been a revelation and her UK band featuring Andy Champion on bass Tim Giles on drums Jez Franks guitar and (at Heart) Jamil Sherrif on piano has been superb.

Pictures of Ingrid at Black Swan Newcastle, at Heart in Leeds and at Seven Arts in Leeds are below

If you've missed her so far get over to the Cask at Scarborough Jazz tonight Wednesday 1 June or Wakefield Jazz on Friday 3 June. Then Ingrid disappears south to play on Sun June 5th at Ronnie Scott's in London with Phil Meadows Engines Orchestra.

Many congratulations to Kim Macari from Apollo (and Jazz at Heart) who set the whole thing up so well.
