A very special finale at Darlington

Darlington Jazz Club is fast approaching the end of our fourth season. We have a couple of sessions left on Sundays at The Quaker House, Mechanic Yard, Darlington. 6pm start

The special finale of this Season will take place on Monday 4th July in The Central Hall, Dolphin Centre where we welcome the fantastic National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO). The world famous National Youth Jazz Orchestra has been showcasing the country’s most talented young jazz musicians for over 50 years. From a swinging rhythm section to incredibly talented soloists, this is a great opportunity to see the band in the North East. Many of the UK’s most prolific jazz musicians have performed with NYJO, often becoming established stars whilst playing with the band. Alumni include Guy Barker, Dennis Rollins and Amy Winehouse to name just a few. The band tours regularly at venues in the UK, as well as in Europe, US, Australia and New Zealand.  Durham County Youth Big Band will play in support. Doors are 6:45 with music from about 7pm
