AfuriKo + Ozzy Moysey Group at Sproggits

Sproggits is back once again tonight at Wharf Chambers, and what a lovely line-up this month. World-jazz duo AfuriKo will be bringing their unique blend of jazz harmony and African groove as part of their UK tour promoting their new album 'Style'. Opening up the night we'll have a brand spanking new project from Ozzy Moysey, featuring some Leeds heavyweights playing his original tunes. Surely not to be missed! Also not to be missed is, as always, the Leeds jazz scene's greatest-worst raffle.

Akiko Horii - Percussion // Jim Funnell - Keyboards

World jazz duo AfuriKo was born in Paris in 2010 of the encounter between Japanese percussionist Akiko Horii and Anglo-French pianist and composer Jim Funnell. After releasing their first CD, On the Far Side, in 2014 and touring Britain, Europe and Japan extensively, as well as performing in New York City, they are now looking forward to presenting their new album, Style. In their quest for a trademark blend of jazz harmonies, improvisation, and down to earth African grooves, AfuriKo has embarked on the shamanic journey of finding a truly unified voice.
