The nominations have today been announced for this year's 2019 Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
Several northern based contenders are in the frame for an award this year including, in the jazz vocalist category Newcastle's Zoe Gilby, in the jazz venue category Marsden Jazz Festival and in the jazz educator category, from Leeds Co9llege of Music Jamil Sheriff. The winners, chosen by judging members of the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group (APPJAG), will be announced at the awards ceremony at PizzaExpress Live, Holborn, London on Tuesday 3rd December 2019. Watch this space for future developments!
