Al Wood and Bill Charleston @the Cask

Scarborough Jazz are proud to present a wonderful double front-liner treat on Wednesday 10th. February at The Cask when Al Wood is joined by Bill Charleson.

Al Wood is no stranger to Scarborough Jazz and always serves up a treat of musical delights, whether it be on Sax or, surprisingly, trumpet or valve trombone. He is a multi-instrumentalist of great repute and has graced the bands of Ken Mackintosh and Maynard Ferguson and both the BBC Big Band and the NDO.

Bill Charleson is the ex Director of Studies at Leeds College of Music, where he worked alongside Al. He now devotes his time to his first love - jazz saxophone.

This is the first appearance of this pairing at the club and we can expect, in the company of The Mike Gordon Trio, some swinging and melodic Jazz, along with some exciting improvisation.

Doors open 8.00pm.  Admission £5  the gig starts at 8.45pm.  More information at www.scarboroughjazz.co.uk
