Please find below a taster of our August programme.

05/08  Ian Chalk
Ian has a mellifluous trumpet tone reminiscent of the brass band style, and this is shown off to great effect on his recent album “Dreamsville”. A real treat for the band as well as the audience. £4

12/08  Jamie Taylor and Matt Anderson.
One of the UK's most exciting young tenor sax players, Matt Anderson was awarded 'Young Musician of the Year' at The Jazz Yorkshire Awards later that year. Jamie Taylor is a jazz tutor at LCM and his guitar playing has drawn praise from leading UK critics, £5

19/08  Tina Featherstone.
Sax player Tina, inspired by her father Mike who played for Tubby Hayes, started clarinet when she was nine years old. She gained big band experience with the Stan Kenton tribute band. £4

26/08  Thom Whitworth.
Trumpeter and guitarist Thom is a remarkable musician. He can switch between his two instruments with easy fluency and is recognised as a highly imaginative improviser. £4
